Stay Close: Harlan Coben shares tiny Easter egg reference to The Stranger



The creator of Netflix sequence Stay Close has highlighted an Easter egg relating to his earlier present The Stranger.

Stay Close, which is presently the streaming service’s most-watched title, is predicated on Harlan Coben’s 2021 novel of the identical title

The creator’s earlier books which were made into Netflix exhibits embrace The Woods, The Innocent and Gone For Good.

But, it’s The Stranger that proved most profitable forward of Stay Close – and it turns on the market’s a short nod to that thriller sequence in episode one.

It comes within the type of a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo from an alpaca within the present’s very first scene.

For those that didn’t watch The Stranger, an alpaca is discovered beheaded within the opening episode, which serves as a springboard for the present’s overarching thriller.

Stay Close viewers liked the reference, with many replying to inform Coben they noticed the alpaca.

“This made me chuckle, thanks for confirming it,” one fan wrote, with one other stating: “So funny because when I saw the alpaca, I thought I had the wrong show on at first!!”
