There have been media reports about seven people being identified COVID positive on the sets of the Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 and that the capturing has come to a standstill as a result of of it.

Producer Ashwin Varde clarifies the state of affairs and explains what precisely occurred. “The report that claims 7 people have been tested COVID positive on our set is incorrect.

“Three members of the crew have been identified COVID positive 10 days again. Immediately, they have been quarantined. As of as we speak, they are effectively on their solution to restoration. We are in contact with the BMC officers and retaining them duly posted on the well being of these 3 crew members.

“As a movie unit, we’ve adopted all protocols with regard to COVID. We have a COVID sanitization unit on set each day, which sanitises the set and does each day checks on each crew member. Every crew member is lab-tested as soon as each few days as per the norms. In truth, after these 3 crew members tested positive, we instantly tested the relaxation of the unit too – consisting of nearly 200 people. Everyone else has tested unfavorable,” he added.

“I would also like to clarify that none of the film’s shooting was stalled due to this unfortunate episode. In fact, we completed our Mumbai schedule and have been on a break before we head to Ujjain to complete the rest of the film. Our next schedule in Ujjain was supposed to commence on the 13th of October. We have now shifted the date to the 23rd of October in order to give ample recovery time for the 3 crew members. The 3 crew members will complete their 14-day quarantine on the 17th of October, after which they will be tested again to confirm their negative status,” he stated.

“The relaxation of the crew can even be tested earlier than we go away for Ujjain for the subsequent schedule. In Ujjain too, we’ve a particular COVID monitoring unit on set that can guarantee all pointers and protocols are being adopted. We thank everybody for his or her concern relating to this matter. We hope and pray for everybody’s good well being,” Varde concluded.
