Parents of Late Jeopardy! Star Brayden Smith Sue Hospital

The loss of life of a 24-year-old Jeopardy! champion has sparked a medical malpractice lawsuit. 

Debbie Smith confirmed final February that her son, sport present contestant Brayden Smith, had handed away not lengthy after his successful streak on Jeopardy!. She did not give a trigger of loss of life.

Now, his dad and mom Debbie and Scott Smith are suing Nevada physicians Godwin Ofikwu and Irfana Razzaq, in addition to Dignity Health and St. Rose Dominican Hospital – San Martin Campus and extra defendants.

“His last days were a nightmare. His death was preordained by the misconduct of doctors and nurses. None of this had to be,” reads the Jan. 11 lawsuit obtained by E! News.

His dad and mom say that Brayden underwent a colon elimination surgical procedure on Jan. 15, 2021, at St. Rose hospital however he allegedly did not obtain some drugs that may assist stop blood clots. “Brayden was never given heparin or anticoagulants post-surgery which was below the standard of care,” the go well with states.
