HBO fixes Harry Potter reunion special after fans spot series of mistakes



HBO Max has shared a brand new model of the reunion special Harry Potter twentieth Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts after fans and forged members alerted the streaming large to mistakes within the unique.

Shortly after the one-off present’s launch on New Year’s Day, many Twitter users pointed out {that a} image of actor Emma Roberts was used throughout a section about Emma Watson, who performed Hermione Granger within the franchise.

A second error was spotted by Harry Potter star Oliver Phelps, who performed George, one of the Weasley twins.

The unique model of the special had misidentified the actor as his equivalent twin brother, James Phelps – who performed the opposite Weasley sibling, Fred – and vice versa.

“I guess after all those pranks over the years somebody decided to get their revenge,” Oliver Phelps quipped on Instagram. “It was fantastic to be part of the HP reunion. Hope you all enjoyed it.”

Tom Felton, who portrayed Draco Malfoy within the movies, jokingly wrote within the remark part: “It was my doing.” He added a snake and lion emoji to symbolise the rivalry between Slytherin and Gryffindor, the Hogwarts homes of the Malfoy and Weasley clans.

“This is legit hilarious,” added Matthew Lewis, who performed Neville Longbottom. “Dude. Wtf? Haha.”

The new model, now out there on HBO Max, contains the proper labels for the Phelps twins.

Return to Hogwarts celebrates 20 years for the reason that first Harry Potter movie was launched in 2001.
